“From the errant to the errant — letters, words, and shadows across languages and time.”

Welcome to Orlando’s Letters

A trilingual space where literature, cinema, and music meet reflection. Each week, I publish letters that weave together rare words, timeless works, and quiet observations — in English, French, and Italian.

Here you’ll find:

  • Music & Literature – essays on novels, poetry, and classical music.

  • Cinema – reflections on films and storytelling.

  • Reflections – meditations on solitude, love, and everyday wonder.

  • Chiaroscuro – photography in light and shadow.

  • Mots Errants – wandering words without direct translation.

My Story

After studying French and Italian literature, I wanted to weave that knowledge together with English — not only as a personal exploration, but also as a space for those who, like me, love books, music, and cinema. Orlando’s Letters is for readers and wanderers who are discovering French and Italian, who carry stories in their pockets, and who believe that solitude can be luminous.

About the author—

I write under the pseudonym D.Orlando-a name chosen for wandering. Between English, French , and Italian, I search for words that illuminate shadows, for music that converses with books, for films that echo solitude. Orlando’s Letters is a home for these fragments , written for those who love books, music, cinema, languages, and for all who believe that solitude can be luminous.

From the errant to the errant ,
